Some new bathroom favourites... I'm in love xx

I'm so excited to receive my, Smith's rosebud salve in the mail next week.  I'm loving the adore beauty website!!  I just recently bought some of Megan Gale's tinted daywear plus as well... OMGosh, it's so super fantastic for full 30+ sun- protected, glamour-gardening!  Teamed up with a little waterproof mascara and some napoleon eyeliner gel... I can look lovely in my lovely garden - that reminds me, I really need to get some trendy gumboots on layby for next year, sheesh, I could have really used them last winter.  I'm bringin' gumboots back... yeah!

I'm looking forward to buying some Moroccan oil hair treatment with my pocket money next week... I have been looking at it from time to time, and I've read some seriously good reviews for it lately.  A little pricey, but I'm sure It'll be worth every penny!

The beautiful weekend... what we did!

We started our weekend off with a beautiful breakfast with eggs from our VERY OWN chickens!  Then we took Wilfred for his very first drive in the back of the ute to pick up a bale of hay.  Then we spent the rest of the weekend painting the patio and retaining wall, and made a floating timber seat for the ugly concrete one that was already there... all we have to do is put the roof on and figure our what we are going to put down for flooring.  Decking or paving????  That is the question!  On Sunday we watered our lovely spring garden, started up the HQ and listened to some tunes while Papa bear tinkered with his toy... Tee hee! xx

What a splendid day!

A
Layla and I had the sweetest morning together... we learned about some oldwares, found some pretty treasures, met some lovely people and were invited to some more up-comming markets... All in all the morning was lovely and sunny, and Layla and I so much enjoyed each other's company, (a rare treat)!

I picked up some little surprises for gifts during the year next year... Loving the vintage and handmade culture.  I'm feeling so inspired and motivated... hopefully it lasts long enough to get through  the next months of painting paperwork and furniture restoring...  Thank goodness Papa Bear is feeling better now! xx

Market Girl Boutique Markets – Perth

Oh ANOTHER market to look forward to!!! YAY! I can't wait for this one too... I wish I knew wether I was going to have a neice or a nephew in January to pick out some cute stuff... I might anyway :) I found this on http://www.madeit.com.au/index.asp It's like the equivalent of an Aussie Etsy. Loving all the exciting outings we have decided on for the next few months xx

Miss Johnson's Vintage and Handmade Market...

Hunny Bear and Mumma Bear are heading off to the market tomorrow, while Pappa Bear and Baby Bear stay at home.  I have been waiting for this market since we arrived in Perth... So excited to see what treasures we can find for our family and maybe a little gift for ourselves... :) Looking forward to foraging through the old bottles and other precious old things, I love the thought of how old they are and where they have come from... the mind boggles!! Treasure hunting is definitely one of my favourite things to do... I might have been a pirate in a past life? x   missjohnsonsvintageandhandmademarket.blogspot.com

A PRETTY BALLET BIRTHDAY...

The girls had a lovely day with their beautiful little friends... at a ballet party today!  It was such a pretty day at our favourite gardens, with pretty little friends... I couldn't resist taking way too many photos as I always do when my girls are all dressed up in their sweetness xx  I'm so in love with them, even when they do eat to much cake and act up a little.  :)

A day of firsts...

So, today we received our first precious egg from our chickens!!!  Such excitement!  We have painted a face on our beloved first egg, and it has pride of place in the kitchen on the ornament shelf.  There is some debate who is responsible for laying the golden egg... Layla seems to think that her Lucy is the chicken goddess, and Evie, is fairly certain it was her Wonder Chicken... Mark and I however, are a little concerned that it was the escapee chicken who has layed the egg, and therefore won't be laying anymore... (another story).

The girls and I have planted our heirloom vegetable and flower seeds that we ordered from eden seeds.  They are organic and we're super excited to see speckled pumpkins and multicoloured corn cobs in the next few months.  The weather is warming up, and we are certain to have a scorcher of a summer... bring it on!

We had a lovely adventure to the most beautiful plant nursery today... the girls and I enjoyed a cup of devonshire tea and scones, and then slowly meandered through the beautifully presented gardens and took our time to "smell the roses", and get lost in the African box mazes... so much fun!!!  We are looking forward to making our scarecrow... we have so much inspiration now!  I LOVE spring! xo

i wish i WONDER...

I found this photo when I was looking for some inspiration for my hair the other day... Repunzel?  Surely it's fake, but it made me wonder how much longer my hair will get before I have the courage to chop it.

A girl crush on... Sofia Loren x

I love Sofia Loren... she had the most enchanting face in her youth... Certainly an inspiration in her older years as well!

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.

I just can't wait until "The sickness" as Layla calls it, pings off and leaves us alone!  It would be nice to have no runny noses, coughing, dihoreah or hand foot and mouth!  I'm starting to ponder the notion that it might be this house making us unwell!  Like a mould situation, although that's not a problem that we can see... there goes my head thinking much too much! It's probably more likely to be the combination of a new place and adjusting to the weather and the viruses that we havn't been exposed to yet.  Alas... a trip to a natropath is in order...  I shall start looking now, to be on top of this nonsense before I'm climbing the walls!

Eddie Vedder eat your heart out!!!

Some Favourites for the first month of spring I recently added  to my itunes library... which I fully intend to turn the volume up on whilst drinking shandy's on the patio in the sunshine next weekend.
